There are a total of six Modules, which all have different contents. This September you can start on Module 1 or Module 4, depending on your level of Finnish language. Module 1 starts from the very basics and courses guide you all the way up to CERF B1.1 in Module 6. On Module 4 you start from CERF A2.1.
On the course, you will use a learning platform to support your everyday learning. Lessons will be held in Teams and you can join in using your mobile phone. You do not need a Teams license, all you need is an internet connection.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Module 1 (CERF level 0-A1.2)
5 weeks = 15 hours
Content: -greetings and polite phrases -numbers -alphabet and pronunciation -time words (months, seasons etc.) -telling about yourself -food and shopping -the clock -a bit of basic grammar (e.g. personal pronouns, verb conjugation)

Module 2 (CERF level A1.2 - A1.3)

Content: -food and shopping -home words (houses, rooms, furniture) -possessive sentence -family words -adjectives -weather -basic questions -asking and giving directions -more basic grammar -vowel harmony

Module 3 (CERF level A1.3 - A2.1)
8 weeks = 24 hours
Content: -clothes -dishes, cutlery -more adjectives -basic anatomy words -professions and jobs -traffic words -telling about your everyday life -more questions -living in Finland -asking and giving directions -grammar continues: more cases, t-plural, past tense

Content: -hobbies -Finnish holidays and parties -in a restaurant, in a cafe -health and illness -more adjectives and comparison -imperative (käskymuoto) -more past tenses -pronouns

8 weeks = 24 hours
Content: -work life -applying for work in Finnish -plural cases -conditional -strengthening of grammar and vocabulary
